Domestic abuse can affect both women and men and take a variety of forms including physical, emotional, financial and sexual abuse. These can occur in couple relationships and between non-couple family members. The aim of domestic abuse counseling is to help you come to terms with what has happened to you, to understand what caused you to accept the behaviors and to help you break away from abusive relationships so that you can live a happier and more fulfilling life that is free from your past traumas.
